Harugeri is located at the edge of Belgaum district and near Maharashtra boundary. It is a big village in Karnataka having the highest Gram Panchayat members. This is on Athani - Gokak state highway and just 15 kms away from Raibag Railway station. Agriculture is main occupation of our area. Harugeri is educationally fast developing where we find more than 25 educational institutions from Pre-Primary to P.G including BAMS, B.Ed, D.Ed, B.P.Ed, M. Phil, Ph. D etc.

Shri Vrushabhendra Education Society is Premier Education Society in Raibag taluka of Belgaum district which consist six education institutions from LKG to PG including Research Centre. It came into existence in 1980 under the able leadership of Shri. B.R. Darur, the founder chairman. Pre-University College was established in 1980 followed by Degree College in 1983.
